Cinema 4D makes AI automation editable scene work
Cinema 4D 2026.4 adds a built-in MCP server for directing assistants including Claude, ChatGPT and Codex through the application’s native tools. The resulting actions remain editable scene data, appear in Undo history and are logged locally on Windows and macOS.
Why it matters: This is more useful than a black-box AI result: 3D artists can inspect, revise and roll back the automation as part of the normal scene workflow.

RØDECaster Video brings multicamera capture closer to Premiere
RØDECaster Video firmware 1.4 adds 4K Capture Mode, multiple UHD30 NDI feeds, isolated recording and OTIO timeline export for Adobe Premiere Pro. The update also expands RØDECaster Sync support.
Why it matters: Separate recordings plus a timeline handoff can remove a substantial setup step from multicamera post, replacing manual reconstruction with a structured starting point for the edit.

The $449 Laowa ACRIS 35mm f/2.8 1X Macro APO is a full-frame, true 1:1 macro lens. Autofocus versions are available for Sony E, Nikon Z and Canon EF, while RF and L mounts are manual focus.

Polaroid Mod is now available on Polaroid.com. Its dial selects Split Shot, Motion Freeze, Double Exposure and Light Painting without sending the photographer into menus or an app.
Why it matters: Direct controls encourage deliberate experimentation. The appeal here is not endless effects, but four analogue techniques that can be learned at the moment of exposure.

Shure’s $169 MV6 Gen 2 USB microphone adds adjustable Auto Level Mode, an adjustable real-time denoiser, five-band EQ and presets. Settings can be saved to the microphone through MOTIV apps for desktop, tablet and mobile.
