Readership statistics

With your consent, we store a random ID in your browser for up to one year. The server stores a hash of this ID and the visit date, only to count unique browsers over 7, 30 and 365 days. We do not store IP addresses, browsing history or emails in readership statistics, or link these counts to newsletter subscribers.

You can decline or withdraw consent through “Privacy choices” in the footer. This removes the browser ID and stops future counting. Previous records are removed when they fall outside the 365-day window on the next recorded visit.

Newsletter

When you register interest, we store your email, chosen language, timestamp and consent version. Your address awaits confirmation and is not used for regular newsletters until confirmed. The email service and sender will be set up before the first mailing. Your details are not sold or shared for others’ marketing.

Data is stored in the magazine’s Supabase database. A short-lived, hashed network identifier limits form abuse and is cleaned up by subsequent requests after one day. Only the editorial team can access signups. You can request access, correction or deletion, withdraw consent, and complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
